It was called the best fundraiser of the year in 2013, and the upcoming 10th annual Hogs & Honeys Valentines Benefit Party for Mission Kids is anticipated to be another rousing success. The event is being held at Valley Forge Casino Resort on February 8, from 7 p.m. to midnight, and will feature food tastings by local restaurants and caterers, door prizes, raffles, dancing, and live entertainment.
Last year's event raised $24,000 to benefit the work of the Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County; all proceeds from this year's benefit will go to the Center, as well.
Mission Kids offers a comprehensive, centrally located, multidisciplinary team response to allegations of child abuse in a dedicated, child-friendly setting to achieve justice for child victims and promote their physical and emotional well-being. In 2013, they provided over 400 forensic interviews to victims of alleged child sexual and severe physical abuse.
