The 9th annual
Driving Away the Cold program launches in September
and, as in previous years, all of the Conicelli dealerships in
Conshohocken and
Springfield
will participate.
The program provides a warm new
winter coat to a needy child for every vehicle sold during the month of
September. In 2015, the five Conicelli dealerships donated over 1,452
new winter coats to the program.
Among the
organizations targeted locally by Conicelli were Carson Valley
Children’s Aid in Flourtown, Macedonia Baptist Church in Norristown,
Frederick Douglass School in Chester, and Norristown’s Missionary
Sisters of Charities.
In October the Auto Dealers
Caring for Kids Foundation will culminate with a massive special day of
giving, where thousands of brand-new winter coats will be distributed to
students from throughout the Philadelphia School
District.
Since 2008, the Foundation has given the
gift of a new winter coat to 220,182 deserving local children. The
Conicelli dealerships have eagerly participated in the program, and we
anticipate that the donations will outpace even last year’s
record.
