A Closer Look at the Features
Performance: We expect three powertrain options in the new Tucson: a gas option, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid. The gas option will probably be a 2.5-liter I-4 generating about 187 hp. We expect the hybrid options to combine the turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 with an electric motor. The fuel efficiency and range are yet to be announced, but some rumors suggest that the regular hybrid will have a range of about 485 miles.
Interior: The interior of the new Tucson will be spacious and comfortable enough for five passengers. The standard infotainment display is expected to be eight inches with higher trims getting a twin 10.25-inch display. Both will serve as the control panels controlling most features, including entertainment, navigation, climate control, and many more. Grey and black themes will dominate the cabin with a choice between high-quality fabrics and leather. The storage space is also improved with about seven cubic feet.
