A common question we get asked here at Conicelli Hyundai is about our hybrid, plug-ins and electric vehicles for sale. Many people are interested because these provide you with standout driving and of course the fuel savings. But, lots of people don't know the differences between them. That's what we're here to explain of course, so you have a better idea of what you're looking at when you shop with us!

First, let's talk hybrids. A hybrid is an electric motor that is paired with a traditional gasoline-powered engine and combined, it provides you with a more efficient drive as the motor is able to generate power in conjunction with the gas engine to help you go further. The electric motor is regenerated through braking in the vehicle to keep a charge.

With a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), much is the same as a traditional hybrid, with one difference that is a big one: a plug-in hybrid offers you a limited all-electric driving range. For many it's about 20 miles that you can ride using only the electric motor and no fuel. You then plug it in to recharge it up, or you can utilize regenerative braking to bring it back up to power. It's a benefit many enjoy especially for quick drives around areas like East Norriton.

Finally, with electric vehicles, it's running purely on electric motors. These vehicles use no fuel, require no oil changes, and have a standout driving range before needing to be replenished. There are chargers you can find in public areas, including fast chargers that can get you to around 80 percent full within about a half hour, plus you have the ability to set up your own in-home charging station too.

This should give everyone a bit more clarity on each vehicle. There are all three of these options here in our new Hyundai dealership, so to learn more contact us today.
