The Michael Petrone Foundation was established in 1999 by the compassionate members of Bishop Kenrick High School's Class of 1976, in memory of their beloved classmate, Michael Petrone. Michael tragically passed away while undergoing a heart and kidney transplant, leaving behind a legacy of cherishing family, friends, children, and his hometown of Norristown. Since its inception, the Petrone Foundation has dedicated itself to assisting charities that align with Mike's core values.

This year, the Petrone Foundation is providing support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. One such family is the McLaughlins – Megan, Shaun, and their sons, Carter and Hunter. Megan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer shortly after their daughter, Amelia Rae, was born. The foundation is dedicated to standing by this brave family, emphasizing that no one fights alone. Peggy Greidus, Megan's mother and Mike's classmate, has selflessly stepped in to care for her grandchildren.

The foundation is also assisting Patrick Brett, a devoted father and educator who underwent a heart and liver transplant, as well as Linda Ahmad, a widow and mother of three diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The Petrone Foundation's support will make a difference as these families navigate challenging times.
