At Conicelli Hyundai, you can explore both hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles in our new Hyundai selection. We get asked a lot: what's the difference? And we're here to explain and point you in the right direction as you evaluate your choices for a new hybrid or plug-in hybrid vehicle.

A hybrid vehicle uses a gas engine that's paired with an electric motor to deliver quality performance as both work together to help your vehicle run more efficiently in terms of gas mileage, by having the hybrid engine provide power for other vehicle functions, including power and acceleration where you need it. The hybrid battery is able to automatically replenish using regenerative braking technology.

With a plug-in hybrid, you get the same system, sometimes with dual-motor setups that assist with all-wheel drive options. The difference is that you can utilize the electric motor to drive for a limited range in pure electric mode. This battery can then be recharged via plugging it into a charging station, or standard outlet at home. It can also use regenerative braking to bring that all-electric range back up to charge over time, as well.

Both have many benefits and here in our Hyundai dealership, you can find loads of options. This includes the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid, Sonata Hybrid, Tucson Hybrid, Tucson Plug-In Hybrid, Santa Fe Hybrid, and Santa Fe Plug-In Hybrid.

We're happy to discuss them all with you and help you pick out a new hybrid or plug-in hybrid vehicle here at Conicelli Hyundai in Conshohocken. Contact us today to learn more.
