At Conicelli Hyundai, you can choose three different EVs. The Hyundai Kona Electric, Ioniq 5, and Ioniq 6 all come with great capability and range, and you'll appreciate their high-tech equipment. Many of our Conshohocken customers have explored the idea of getting EVs, and we always welcome the opportunity to answer questions and provide people with more information about these new models. Here's an overview of what all-electric Hyundais can do.

The Kona EV is a small SUV with a big spirit. It has a versatile cabin with a maximum cargo capacity of around 64 cubic feet, and since its electric motor gives it 188 pound-feet of torque and 201 horsepower, it feels lively and athletic. Plus, it has an excellent range. The entry-level SE trim has a range of 200 miles, and the SEL and Limited can travel up to 261 miles on a single charge.

They have a better range because they use more robust batteries. Using a Level II system, the SE can achieve a full charge in about five hours, and it takes an additional hour for the SEL and Limited to achieve a full charge. If you use a Level III 100kW quick charger, you'll be able to get your battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 45 minutes. While the Kona EV comes standard with front-wheel drive, it does offer different drive modes. You might want to select Eco, Normal, Sport, or Snow mode depending on the road conditions and your preferences.

The Ioniq 5 is another relatively compact SUV. When its rear seats have been folded down, it offers just under 60 cubic feet of cargo space. It's a bit different than the Kona EV because it's available with all-wheel drive. This might be important to some of our customers who anticipate dealing with slippery conditions. A rear-wheel-drive Ioniq 5 can range 220 or 303 miles, depending on the trim.

In comparison, an all-wheel-drive model can travel an estimated 260 miles on a single charge. With all-wheel drive, the Ioniq 5 runs on two motors and showcases impressive strength. Its motors can generate 446 pound-feet of torque and 320 horsepower. Most of the rear-wheel-drive models can make 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the entry-level SE Standard Range's motor delivers 168 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Using a Level II charger, you can get a full charge in about seven hours. You'll be able to charge much more quickly with an 800V DC charging system, which can take the battery to an 80-percent charge in under 20 minutes.

That brings us to the Ioniq 6, an all-electric sedan that stands out with its unique design. It looks so aerodynamic with its curved frame. The base model of the Ioniq 6, the SE, does the best in terms of range. A rear-wheel-drive SE can travel 361 miles on a single charge, and an all-wheel-drive SE comes with a 316-mile range. The other trims can drive 305 or 270 miles on a full charge, depending on whether they have rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The horsepower and torque of the Ioniq 6 match exactly with what the Ioniq 5 can do, and charging times are about the same, too. You can confidently drive this car around Conshohocken, knowing that it will consistently perform at a high level for you.
